Hopeless cause...

So I was doing my hair yesterday and Hailey was watching me. Suddenly she ran off into the bedroom yelling something I couldn't quite understand. Then she came running back with my hat. I said, "Oh, do you want to wear mommy's hat?"
And put it on her head.
But she took it off and handed it back to me.
I said, "Do you want mommy to wear the hat?"
She said "Ya!"
I said, "Do you think mommy's hair is that much of a hopeless cause?"
To which she sighed, "Ya." And ran off.
